As many as eighty students will visit London on the 23rd October to take part in TMNT Smash Up School wars. Hosted by Monorex, an award winning creative design agency in London, attendees will battle it out in the art stakes and only one will become the ultimate champion.
Students between the ages of 12-17, along with their teachers will have the opportunity to learn and create freestyle art features. Participants will then take part in ‘illustrated battles’ a new street art inspired technique of free drawing that is taking the world by storm.
The subject matter will be based on TMNT Smash Up for the Nintendo Wii, the new videogame by Ubisoft.
“We’re looking forward to getting students involved in ‘Illustrated Battles’ It can be considered as ‘Live art’ or ‘performance art’ where an artist creates a piece of art in front of an audience,’ said Terry Guy, founder of Monorex. The experience gives the viewers some insight into the mind of an artist at work, which is very exciting and thought provoking.”
Students will have the opportunity to work with up-and-coming popular artists such Jimi Crayon, Discotech, Alfa and Mr K.
